Shirley has stepped down as editor of the Park Bulletin. She has graciously offered to assist to ensure a smooth transition. If anyone has articles or information for the bulletin please contact Natalie or Dawn in the office.
The 2010 nominating committee has been selected. The members are: Tiny Sand, Cheryl Dangreu, John Mancini, Shirley Radder and Joanne Nelson. If any primary member wishes to run for the Board please contact one of these committee members.
It was recently written by a member in the bulletin that the appeal that Mr. Butler filed after losing his lawsuit against the Park would automatically set aside the monetary award against him. I have discussed this with our Insurance Attorney and was told that information is incorrect. The attorneys for our insurance company are proceeding to collect those monies in the short term. If Mr. Butler were to win an appeal he could petition the court to have the award reversed. If Mr. Butler loses his appeal he will be liable for those legal costs as well.
Jim Reynold’s passed away this afternoon. His family was at home with him.
The Park needs people with budget/financial experience to work on the budget committee. We are facing a shortfall and need you expertise. Please contact a board member or call the office.

I want to clarify a couple of points on the Butler/Freenor litigation - most of what was awarded by the court will repay the insurance company for out of pocket expenses (We paid a deductible of $10,000) Also Mr. Butler has filed an appeal. Every time the park is sued it amounts to each and every one of us being sued. It is all the rest of us (our money) that must pay the deductible. If Mr. Butler loses the appeal - he may be liable for additional costs.
William “Bill” Glassey passed away 12/16/09. No further details at this time.
Paradise Park was awarded $78,800 out of a possible $82,000 this morning for legal fees in the Freenor/Butler litigation.
Someone attempted to break in to a house in section 4 in the middle of the night. No one gained entry but there was damage to a back door lock and broken glass.
